ETHICAL VALUES
The ethical values are paramount to the Faroese Maritime Authority. It is highly important that they have been inspired and approved by the employees, and that they support the organisation’s vision and mission statement. Our five primary ethical values have been worded as follows:
Quality: We explore every opportunity to enhance customer satisfaction by quality services, also by seeking outside advice as may applicableTransparency: We promote open and sincere communication with our customers and amongst our employeesAccountability: We safeguard the rights of our customers and develop systems to fortify their trust in us. Likewise, we trust our employees and value their professional capacity and potentialFlexibility: We encourage innovation and a positive attitude amongst employees, which we believe will provide added value and flexibility to our servicesFavourable work conditions: We support employees in further development. Thus, we endeavour to develop safe working conditions and challenging work assignments to boost the self esteem and well-being amongst colleagues
